This Privacy Policy explains how Public Growth Industries ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Share The Cork mobile app (the "App").
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), or the identifier provided when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Profile information — your name, username, and an optional profile photo.
- Contacts (optional) — if you grant permission, we read your device contacts solely to help you find friends already on the App. Contacts are not stored for advertising and you can use the App without granting this.
- Content you provide — wine club memberships, tasting requests, and connections you create in the App.
- Usage and device data — basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To provide core features: connecting with friends, sharing memberships, and requesting tastings.
- To communicate with you about your account (for example, email verification).
- To maintain the security and integrity of the service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With other users as part of features you choose to use (for example, a friend you connect with or a membership you share).
- With service providers who host and operate the App on our behalf, including Supabase (database), Render (hosting), and Apple and Google (sign-in).
- When required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your profile in the App, revoke contacts/photos/camera permissions in your device settings, and request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us.
Children
The App involves wine and alcohol-related content and is not directed to anyone under the legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
